Job DescriptionExplore a multifaceted role as a Center Aide Substitute working under the guidance of our Education Specialist. You will support classroom activities, manage a safe playground environment, and promote health, safety, and school readiness for young learners. Opportunities extend to transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental specialties, with possible assignments at multiple center locations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with supervision, safety, and health policies.
- Actively supervise children, engaging with them and working closely with teachers.
- Create a supportive environment that fosters individual and group development.
- Promote children's physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and language development through appropriate curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, warm, caring, and respectful classroom environment.
- Advocate for children's emotional, physical, and educational needs, encouraging autonomy and expression.
- Collaborate with teachers to engage children in learning activities and maintain ongoing learning opportunities.
- Encourage bilingual and bicultural learning practices.
- Support learning through interaction with nature.
- Assist with learning activities for children with IFSPs and IEPs.
- Model proper grammar, voice level, and clear communication.
- Support classroom sanitation and cleaning schedules.
- Enforce CACFP rules during mealtimes, ensuring sanitation and following family‑style meal service guidelines.
- Seek and act on feedback, pursuing training and assistance as needed.
- Assist with physical caregiving tasks: lifting, changing diapers, feeding infants, and participating in floor activities.
- Handle additional responsibilities that support the center’s objectives.

- Minimum age 18 years old.
- Enthusiasm to work with children, including those with special needs and limited English proficiency.
- Physical demands: extended walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable with floor‑level activities such as sitting, crawling, and running with children aged 0‑5.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED preferred. CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education or related field advantageous.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers permits required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
