We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-state tax preparation and a strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations. This role involves preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, supporting audits, and mentoring junior staff.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file complex federal, state, and local tax returns
• Compile and analyze financial statements and supporting documentation
• Assist with federal and state tax correspondence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• CPA license strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience, preferably with a Big 4 or mid-sized firm

Required Skills

• Proficiency in tax software and bookkeeping tools (e.g., Quick Books)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-state tax issues
• Ability to mentor junior staff
