** Interior Designer This position provides interior design and planning services for improvements to existing BYU facilities, helping create functional, welcoming spaces that support the university’s mission and the people who use them. Depending on experience, the position may also serve as the Owner’s Representative on new construction and major renovation projects, working closely with outside architects and design consultants.

The role offers a diverse mix of creative design, project coordination, and client collaboration. Responsibilities include meeting with clients and consultants, conducting space and design studies, developing preliminary plans and working drawings, preparing cost estimates and project documentation, reviewing specifications and shop drawings, assisting with project inspections, and monitoring project budgets. The position also helps shape campus-wide interior standards and finishes, including color palettes, flooring, paint, upholstery, window coverings, and wall coverings.

Success in this role requires strong design skills, attention to detail, sound project management, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and campus partners.
