Website Onboarding Specialist Role Overview
As a Website Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and successful onboarding experience for new customers transitioning to Quilt's website and point-of-sale systems. You will play a crucial role in guiding customers through the website setup process and helping them realize the full potential of their Quilt Software platform.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of the daily website submissions process, working closely with clients to ensure their websites are created according to their specifications and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver completed websites on time.
- Develop and share new modules and features that can be utilized by teammates to enhance the overall quality and functionality of clients' jewelry websites.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met and deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Help control scope creep by clearly defining project boundaries and managing client expectations.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) reviews for websites submitted in various industries, ensuring they meet Quilt's standards for design, functionality, and user experience.
- 1–3 years of experience working with websites or web platforms
- Working knowledge of HTML5
- Ability to edit page structure, forms, embeds, and metadata
- Working knowledge of CSS3
- Ability to style layouts, typography, and components
- Familiarity with responsive design principles
- Experience working in a CMS or website platform (e.g., Webflow, Word Press, Squarespace, or similar)
- Comfort making changes to existing websites without breaking functionality
- Basic understanding of how websites are hosted and published
- Familiarity with:
- Responsive layouts and mobile‑friendly design
- Cross‑browser testing and troubleshooting
- SEO basics (headings, meta tags, page structure)
- Ability to integrate common third‑party tools (forms, analytics, embeds)
- Understanding of basic web performance and usability best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with customers, including non‑technical users
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple onboarding projects at once
- Willing to ask questions, learn quickly, and take ownership of outcomes
- Basic JavaScript familiarity (reading or making small edits)
- Experience with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
- Awareness of accessibility best practices
- SaaS or customer‑facing onboarding experience
