Overview

Rimports is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician at our Provo, Utah location. This position is responsible for the maintenance of our manufacturing facilities and machinery to maximize performance. This role reports to the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs, especially production line maintenance.
  • Ensure machinery is operating properly and efficiently.
  • Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Make necessary modifications and implement test runs.
  • Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Install new equipment/systems.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines; conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Provide support to all departments on facilities-related matters.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Interact and coordinate with all departments.
  • May be required to participate in special projects as reasonably related to the role.
  • Be responsible for allocated workload and meet all targets as agreed with Supervisor.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 75 pounds; regularly lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Competencies: Strong sense of commitment and work ethic, facilities expertise, detail-oriented, time management, organization, accuracy, problem solving, versatility, good attitude, willingness to learn new skills and processes.

Qualifications
  • 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Thorough understanding of the manufacturing environment, requirements and dynamics.
  • Competent in working with plumbing.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • High degree of integrity and honesty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Related technical degree.
Additional Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Position Type

Full-time, non-exempt. Four 10-hour shifts per week, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

Work Environment

The production floor can be loud with machines running. The combined odor of fragrances may affect those with odor sensitivities and could cause headaches during the first days.
