Machine Operator at GSP Retail

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $17.00/hr

Shift times:

• Morning: 6am-2:30pm
• Swing/Afternoon/Evening: 2pm-10:30pm

All shifts work mandatory overtime (OT) on weekends

Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring job jackets are understood, cutting printed stock to specifications, maintaining quality standards, and supporting other departments as needed.

• Take printed stock and cut to proper dimensions as called for on the production order.
• Operate cutting machines to make detailed custom cuts for various types of printed stock.
• Read work order and verify all fabrication needed before cutting.
• Cut in accordance with priorities set by leadership.
• Report any issues or problems related to signage to management.
• Report machine operational issues to management and/or maintenance.
• Maintain all safety and cleanliness standards.
• Use forklift as required per site expectations.
• Perform other duties as requested, including supporting other departments.

• 6+ months’ experience with cutting and router machines (preferred).

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Manage large workloads; maintain high quality and accuracy.
• Meet deadlines and mitigate disruptions to workflow.
• Knowledgeable in basic math, fractions, and percentages.
• Pass a basic skills test.
• Communicate (read, speak, write, understand) in English.
• Can lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain for forklift certification.
• Available for weekend work shifts & overtime as required.
• Safety conscious and can perform job functions in a safe manner.
• Can work alone and under minimal supervision.
• Can think outside the box when creative solutions are needed.
• Works well on a team and contributes positively to GSP culture.
