United Way of Utah County is seeking an Ameri Corps VISTA to support digital equity and long‑term program sustainability for low‑income and underserved communities across Utah County. This position focuses on building systems, partnerships, and resources that expand access to digital literacy education, technology, and internet resources—helping individuals pursue educational and employment opportunities. This is a capacity‑building role, meaning the VISTA will focus on creating sustainable solutions rather than providing direct service.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Volunteer Engagement & Program Support
- Support and strengthen volunteer engagement systems that improve program delivery
- Coordinate with volunteer instructors to assess class progress and identify needs
- Gather and organize instructor feedback to support curriculum and program improvements
- Document program successes and challenges to inform future adjustments and growth
- Funding Research & Program Sustainability
- Research and compile a database of grant and funding opportunities
- Track Final date to receive applicationss, eligibility requirements, and funding priorities
- Develop templates and outreach materials to streamline grant inquiries and applications
- Assist in building relationships with grant officers and potential funders to support long‑term sustainability
- Data Systems & Curriculum Support
- Maintain and utilize current digital system to track student enrollment and participation
- Follow clear protocols for data entry, analysis, and reporting
- Support the development of multilingual and culturally responsive curriculum materials, including Spanish‑language frameworks
- Help ensure curriculum materials are adaptable and accessible for diverse populations
- Documentation & Process Development
- Support and utilize systems for managing curriculum materials and program documentation
- Develop processes for collecting and sharing program stories and photos
- Help create templates and guidelines to ensure consistency and ease of transition for future staff
- Gather feedback and make improvements to systems to ensure they remain effective and sustainable
- Outreach & Community Engagement
- Support the development of scalable outreach strategies to recruit volunteers and students
- Assist with distributing outreach materials at schools, libraries, and community centers
- Work with the Marketing Director to ensure outreach materials align with branding and Digital Literacy initiatives
- Identify key locations and partners across Utah County to reach underserved populations
- Track and analyze outreach efforts and recommend improvements
- Interest in nonprofit work, education, community development, or public service
- Strong organizational, communication, and research skills
- Comfortable creating systems, documentation, and templates
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with outreach, writing, research, or data tracking is helpful but not required

Time Commitment- Full‑time Ameri Corps VISTA service (approximately 40 hours per week)
- One‑year service term
