Product Demonstrator Part Time - 6685 at Product Connections
Overview: The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The Associate acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented, prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, and maintains a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Have the desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications:
- Education:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device to navigate applications and internal systems. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Local food handlers permit may be required. - Physical Demands:
Stand and walk throughout the shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; have visual ability to read instructions and perform events; stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds);
push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies. - Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. - Work Environment:
Retail store environment with limited travel. - Physical Appearance:
Present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance according to retailer dress code. - Language
Skills:
English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
Additional Information: The role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, although the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business or client needs.
