Description
Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $15.00/hr
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
Pay rate is $15/hour.
Responsibilities- Possesses aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercepts, engages, interacts, and sells products to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintains a clean, sterile and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintains a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Properly sets up and prepares the event table for execution.
- Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
- Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Completes expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as the event execution.
- Accesses the internet, navigates electronic systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business needs.
QualificationsEducation/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer
Skills:
Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching overhead up to 65 inches, talking, hearing, reading instructions, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing or stepping a ladder, balancing, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), pushing and pulling a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product, preparing foods and beverages with required appliances, and contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Retail store environment – limited travel.
Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming required; specific retailer dress code will be provided in training.

English is primary; bilingual skills may be required depending on business necessity.
