Job Title: Subscription Sales

Hours/Week: 40

Starting Salary: Competitive based on experience

Job Description: Contact interested clients from an in-house database and referral program to subscribe to a nationally circulated magazine.

Tasks:

• Answer questions about product features and benefits.
• Contact customers to persuade them to purchase merchandise or services.
• Develop prospect lists.
• Distribute product samples or literature detailing products or services.
• Explain products or services and prices, and demonstrate their use.
• Order or purchase supplies.
• Write and record orders for merchandise or enter orders into computers.

Work Context: Requires contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise), and work with external customers or the public.

Work Activities:

• Solicit orders from established or new customers.
• Process orders for merchandise.
• Advise clients or customers.
• Maintain records, reports, or files.
