GE Health Care seeks a Field Service Engineer 1 to perform preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs on medical equipment at healthcare facilities in the Salt Lake City area. This is a second-shift role (noon to 9 pm, Monday-Friday) supporting optimal patient care delivery.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment to ensure optimal healthcare delivery
- Maintain customer relationships through timely communication, issue resolution, and follow-up to drive satisfaction
- Adhere to company policies and hospital protocols; document all work performed and manage parts ordering
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military education or 4+ years servicing electronic equipment
- Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs unassisted; bend, stoop, climb, and stand for extended periods
- Good hand and finger dexterity with ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level
- Availability for after-hours and rotating on-call schedules, including weekends
- Willingness to work second shift preferred
