Day Shift - Welding

Action Target in Provo, Utah is hiring a Welder to join their team building innovative firearms training equipment on a steady Monday through Friday day shift. Starting pay is $20-$23 per hour based on experience, with a clear path to permanent placement, benefits, and a wage increase after just 320 hours. • Read blueprints and technical drawings to plan weld layout and procedures
• Select and perform the appropriate weld method (MIG, TIG, MMA, and others) based on job specifications
• Set up components, fixtures, and equipment prior to welding
• Use angle grinders, deburring tools, calipers, and tape measures to prep and align parts
• Weld components in multiple positions — vertical, horizontal, and overhead
• Inspect and test welded surfaces to identify and correct flaws
• Maintain equipment and follow all shop safety standards
• Support repairs to machinery and structural components as needed

• Hands-on welding experience with MIG, TIG, or MMA processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with metal properties and how they affect weld procedures
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Your own welding helmet (required for the on-site welding test)

• AWS welding certification or equivalent
• Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, squares, fixtures)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Overtime available as needed

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Weekly pay every Friday

After 320 hours, this contingent role converts to permanent with access to health benefits, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, PTO, paid holidays, and employee discounts on firearms, optics, and range passes
