Responsibilities:

• Provide technical system solutions and determine the overall design
• Develop and support modules and subsystems of the intranets
• Document system requirements
• Attend project meetings and communicate technical design points
• Develop and document highly complex applications programs
• Generate code and correct, convert, and/or modify existing code to meet specifications
• Consult with system architects to analyze specified methods and procedures
• Identify problems, and document specific requirements
• Perform a variety of testing procedures, analyze test results, and correct problems
• Provide technical assistance to less experienced personnel in the resolution of systems related problems. Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.

Required Skills:

• Experience developing Java–based web applications
• Experience developing complex web sites, workflows, and automated solutions in Java
• Ability to assist in gathering, consolidating, and prioritizing functional requirements and identifying/implementing technical solutions
• Struts development to include general Java Web Development, Java/J2EE, and JSP
• Experience working with Oracle, SQL and Web development tools
• Knowledge of Websphere Application Server development / integration with Content Management System (CMS)
• Strong coding and debugging skills
• Exceptional trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• A knack of working well both in a team and independent high pressured environment with tight deadlines
• Excellent documentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Highly effective at exchanging information clearly and concisely
