Our services also include cleaning and specialist cleaning solutions, alongside our established Flooring and Contracting divisions.
Job Summary
Due to continued expansion and growth across the business, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Scheduling Co-Ordinator to join our established Flooring Division
.
This is a senior role within our scheduling team, with responsibility for supporting and coordinating the day-to-day scheduling of multiple flooring fitting teams across the North of England.
The successful candidate will take ownership of complex flooring schedules, ensuring work is allocated effectively based on site requirements, fitter availability, location, travel time, individual capabilities, job specifications and agreed completion dates.
The role involves working closely with New Build Housing sites, site managers, contracts managers and internal teams to collate weekly flooring requirements and ensure work is scheduled and completed within agreed timescales.
You will be responsible for managing a constantly changing schedule, including new instructions, variations, cancellations, urgent requirements, customer care work and reported flooring defects.
As a senior member of the scheduling team, you will provide guidance and support to other members of the scheduling team and act as a key point of contact for flooring scheduling queries.
You will also work closely with the Flooring Management team to identify potential issues, manage priorities and ensure resources are used as efficiently as possible.
You will be working in a busy and demanding environment where priorities can change throughout the day. Workloads can increase significantly during quarter-end, half-year and year-end periods, so the ability to remain calm, organized and solutions-focused under pressure is essential.
Strong working relationships with colleagues, flooring fitters, site managers, clients, suppliers, contracts managers and senior management will be key to your success.
You must be confident, proactive and highly motivated, with the ability to make informed decisions, resolve scheduling issues quickly and take ownership of your workload. You should have a strong understanding of the importance of efficient scheduling within a flooring operation and be able to anticipate problems before they impact site programs or customer commitments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee, control, and collate weekly flooring requirements from site managers, sales personnel, and senior contracts managers.
Create and maintain efficient daily schedules for multiple flooring fitting teams across the North of England.
Allocate flooring works based on location, travel efficiency, fitter availability, individual capabilities, job type, and specific site requirements.
Plan fitter workloads to maximize productivity and minimize unnecessary travel and downtime.
Review and optimize flooring schedules throughout the day in response to changing priorities and site requirements.
Manage and action daily instructions from developments, including changes, cancellations, additional work, variations, and last-minute requirements.
Monitor site programs and ensure flooring work are scheduled in line with agreed completion dates and contractual requirements.
Manage and monitor reported flooring defects, ensuring they are scheduled and completed within agreed timescales and SLAs.
Coordinate customer care and remedial flooring work where required.
Proactively identify potential scheduling issues, resource shortages and program risks, implementing solutions before they impact sites or customers.
Maintain clear and accurate scheduling records and ensure all relevant job information is communicated to flooring fitters and operational teams.
Provide flooring fitters with clear daily schedules, including job details, site requirements, flooring specifications, access arrangements and any other relevant information.
Manage multiple communication channels, including telephone calls, email, Whats App and text messaging.
Act as a senior point of contact for flooring scheduling queries from colleagues, fitters, customers, site teams and contracts managers.
Liaise closely with the Flooring Management team regarding resource requirements, program changes and operational priorities.
