The Company

Inside Contracting is an established market-leading business that operates across multiple sectors including new build housing, care, education, hospitality, residential and construction.

We work with many Northeast and Yorkshire-based clients to deliver tailored, bespoke solutions across flooring, interior design, exterior design, window dressings, 3D plans, bespoke furniture, lighting, and soft furnishings.

Our services also include cleaning and specialist cleaning solutions, alongside our established Flooring and Contracting divisions.

Job Summary

Due to continued expansion and growth across the business, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Scheduling Co-Ordinator to join our established Flooring Division.

This is a senior role within our scheduling team, with responsibility for supporting and coordinating the day-to-day scheduling of multiple flooring fitting teams across the North of England.

The successful candidate will take ownership of complex flooring schedules, ensuring work is allocated effectively based on site requirements, fitter availability, location, travel time, individual capabilities, job specifications and agreed completion dates.

The role involves working closely with New Build Housing sites, site managers, contracts managers and internal teams to collate weekly flooring requirements and ensure work is scheduled and completed within agreed timescales.

You will be responsible for managing a constantly changing schedule, including new instructions, variations, cancellations, urgent requirements, customer care work and reported flooring defects.

As a senior member of the scheduling team, you will provide guidance and support to other members of the scheduling team and act as a key point of contact for flooring scheduling queries.

You will also work closely with the Flooring Management team to identify potential issues, manage priorities and ensure resources are used as efficiently as possible.

You will be working in a busy and demanding environment where priorities can change throughout the day. Workloads can increase significantly during quarter-end, half-year and year-end periods, so the ability to remain calm, organized and solutions-focused under pressure is essential.

Strong working relationships with colleagues, flooring fitters, site managers, clients, suppliers, contracts managers and senior management will be key to your success.

You must be confident, proactive and highly motivated, with the ability to make informed decisions, resolve scheduling issues quickly and take ownership of your workload. You should have a strong understanding of the importance of efficient scheduling within a flooring operation and be able to anticipate problems before they impact site programs or customer commitments.
