• The individual directs electrical maintenance activities at both the plant and quarry, including repairing, adjusting, and installing electrical equipment.
• Assigns daily tasks to electricians and inspects ongoing work while completing daily time reports.
• Performs problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, component design, and prepares contract documents and scopes of work.
• Coordinates and schedules required work, supervises contractors, and orders materials.
• Conducts periodic inspections of field instrumentation, wiring, calibration, equipment condition, and proper installation to ensure optimal operating performance.
• Directs calibration of instrumentation and control devices, tests systems after repairs, and works from schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Prepares maintenance schedules for all systems hardware following manufacturer’s instructions.
• Directs ongoing preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and procedures for electrical and electronic equipment.
• Attends coordination meetings, reviews and assists with all corrective and preventive maintenance work orders.
• Enforces the company’s rules of conduct, health and safety regulations, and implements disciplinary actions for violations.
• Prepares electrical maintenance and construction contracts.
• Plans, designs, coordinates, and schedules specific corrective maintenance projects, maintaining records of associated costs.
• Trains and supports plant personnel in preventive and predictive maintenance programs and participates in the plant’s on‑call program.
• Attends weekly safety meetings, inspects the department for unsafe conditions and equipment breakdowns to reduce accidents and left‑time injuries.
• Stays updated on new developments in the electrical and electronics industry.

• Minimum of a two‑year degree in engineering or related fields, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the electrical field.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics; computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and word‑processing software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to identify problems and implement corrective measures.

Moderate physical exertion; walking and climbing stairs and ladders, occasionally assisting employees with unloading supplies. Ability to read typed letters, computer screens and printouts, electrical drawings, and schematics. The plant environment is dusty, noisy and potentially hazardous. Requires minimal travel.
