About

The Role

Entry‑level position responsible for conducting basic laboratory tests and maintaining accurate data records. Works under close supervision to ensure compliance with established standards.

This position operates within Xcaliber International’s ISO 17025‑accredited laboratory, supporting analytical, physical, and product quality testing to ensure compliance with FDA and TTB regulations. The Lab Technician works collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to maintain product integrity, consistency, and excellence.

A Day In The Life

Each day begins with sample intake, preparation, and testing across analytical and physical parameters. You’ll perform hands‑on testing, calibration checks, and data recording, ensuring all results meet regulatory standards. Throughout the day, you’ll support production quality checks, maintain testing instruments, and document results accurately.

What You Will Do
  • Perform sample preparation, weighing, and labeling for physical and analytical testing.
  • Assist with daily instrument calibration and verification activities.
  • Record data accurately in laboratory information systems.
  • Support routine quality checks during production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab spaces.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, and tobacco product handling protocols.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of lab testing procedures and safety requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Nice To Have
  • Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • Experience in tobacco or regulated manufacturing industry.
