Accounts Senior

E & M Talent have recently partnered with a small, modern and rapidly growing accountancy practice based in Leeds in their search for a new member of their team.

This is a fast paced and growing practice that never stands still and is always looking at ways of becoming more efficient, especially as modern accounting technology improves.

This is a client facing role and you will be tasked with working across various areas of compliance and business advisory on a day-to-day basis, depending on deadlines and client requirements.

• Preparation of limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts for various sized clients
• Preparing and submitting corporation tax returns
• Preparing capital allowances with relevant experience and knowledge of them
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts
• Bookkeeping for partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of self-assessment tax returns and knowledge around this process and tax reliefs available
• A working knowledge of payroll will be beneficial although you wont be processing payroll
• Strong communication skills are essential in dealing with clients, HMRC and Companies House; opportunities to instruct and supervise trainees across the office may arise
• You must be willing to advance your knowledge of accountancy tech and be willing to adapt the way you work inline with advancing technologies as they appear
• This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week
