Learning Support Assistant

Overview

Think Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a background in Alternative Provisions and SEN settings. The successful candidate will work closely with the student to build confidence, reinforce core skills, and provide tailored academic support within a SEN school setting.

• Provide tailored academic support and assist with learning activities for students in a SEN setting.
• Support students with varying EHCPs, reinforcing core skills and promoting confidence.
• Work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and behaviour, contributing to individual education plans as appropriate.

• Experience working with challenging behaviour
• Previous experience of working in Alternative Provisions
• Strong understanding of working with students who have varying EHCPs
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate learners on a one-to-one basis
