Bechtel Corporation invites candidates to apply for the Project Superintendent role located in Pueblo, CO. This full‑time position is a key supervisory role within the PCAPP Phase 2 Closure – Demolition project, responsible for ensuring safe, quality, and schedule‑constrained construction operations.
Job SummaryAssigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory position. Responsible for activities for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility. May serve as the primary client contact for all job‑site activities.
Major Responsibilities- Lead all job‑site operations, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal personnel.
- Maintain full compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Develop and execute field schedules, manning charts, material, and equipment plans.
- Ensure procurement and utilization of tools, consumables, and equipment.
- Oversee employee performance reviews and counseling programs.
- Develop and implement craft training plans.
- Manage labor relations activities and coordinate with corporate Labor Relations.
- Maintain construction site cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Implement and enforce safety programs and federal/state safety codes.
- Ensure compliance with the Environmental Permit and site work rule regulations.
- Perform general administrative functions inherent in a supervisory position.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Construction, Labor Relations) and 9 years of related experience, or 15 years of progressive, related experience, including Labor Relations, Construction Supervision, Site Management, Operations Management, and Contracts Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing labor relations and construction functions on a construction project.
- Ability to handle abstract and ambiguous situations positively.
- Strong ability to receive direction from multiple sources and establish priorities.
- Knowledge of domestic labor and EEO laws pertaining to manual construction workers.
- Knowledge of union work practices and organizational structure.
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, and technical database applications.
