Instructor, Cosmetology; Pueblo

Pay Range

Base pay: $52.92 per lecture hour. Lab pay: $36.35 per lab hour. (Temporary, part‑time instructor)

Part‑time Instructor, Cosmetology – Academic Year 2025‑2026 (Fall, Spring, and Summer terms). Instructors may teach a full 16‑week term, an abbreviated term, or limited hours based on the discipline or subject. Final date to receive applications:
June 30, 2026
. Applicants must be a resident of Colorado or reside in Colorado on the first day of employment. The college does not sponsor visa or immigration assistance.

• Teach assigned courses within instructor workload guidelines.
• Attend all scheduled classes.
• Prepare course material adequately.
• Ensure compliance with classroom safety procedures.
• Submit student grades within required timelines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and others.
• Assess department work processes and recommend improvements.
• Comply with state fiscal rules, board policies, system and college protocols.
• Maintain proficiency with required systems and equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information as required.
• Complete all required compliance training within the established timeline.

• Certificate in Cosmetology.
• Three years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist with knowledge in all scopes of practice.
• One year of teaching experience in a cosmetology school.
• Comfortable in all cosmetology fields:
  Nail Technology, Esthetics, Hairstyling (including men's haircutting).
• Current licensed cosmetologist in Colorado.

• Knowledge of classroom management strategies.
• Proficiency with a Learning Management System (e.g., Desire2
  
  Learn, Blackboard, Moodle).
• Experience using Zoom or Webex in a teaching environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
