Position: Instructor, Machining (Pueblo)

Instructor, Machining (Pueblo)

Pueblo Community College is accepting applications for its part‑time instructor pool for Academic Year 2025‑2026 (Fall, Spring, and Summer terms). Instructors may teach a full 16‑week term, an abbreviated term, or limited hours, depending on discipline or subject. Qualified applicants will be contacted only when a need is identified.

Base Pay Range

$52.92/hr - $52.92/hr

Job Summary

The Instructor provides classroom, laboratory, or related instruction under the supervision of the Department Chair and is responsible for planning and delivering student instruction in accordance with approved syllabi, curriculum guidelines, and required program standards. Teaching may be delivered in classroom or hybrid classroom‑online formats. Instructors must adhere to college laws, policies, and procedures, including state fiscal rules. Instructors are hired as temporary employees and are not eligible for medical or dental benefits, though hours are measured annually to determine potential eligibility for benefits the following plan year.

Functions
  • Teaches courses as assigned within instructor workload guidelines.
  • Meets all scheduled classes.
  • Provides adequate preparation of course material.
  • Ensures compliance with classroom safety procedures.
  • Submits student grades within required timelines.
Additional Functions
  • Works independently with little supervision or as part of a team.
  • Communicates effectively with students, colleagues, and others.
  • Interacts professionally and respectfully with all parties.
  • Assesses individual and department work processes and recommends improvements.
  • Complies with state fiscal rules, state board policies, system and college protocols, and departmental procedures.
  • Obtains and maintains proficiency with required systems and equipment.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student and employee information as required.
  • Completes all required compliance training within the established timeline.
Education
  • Associate degree in Conventional and CNC/Machining or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Licenses or Certificates
  • Master Cam/Solid Works proficiency.
  • Eligibility for Colorado Vocational Credential.
Experience
  • Five years of experience as a CNC machinist/programmer.
  • Three years of experience with Master Cam and Solid Works.
Special Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of best practices in the machining field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Ellucian Banner.
