About the RoleCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a skilled Principal Engineer in Product and Process to lead quality improvement initiatives and cross‑functional investigations. This role focuses on root cause and corrective action, production deviations, and customer complaints with an emphasis on long‑term solutions.
What You Will Do- Facilitate and lead cross‑functional teams in root cause and corrective action investigations, identifying non‑conformances and tracking issues to closure.
- Lead quality investigations related to production deviations and customer complaints.
- Review and approve manufacturing process changes, validations, and product documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Zero, PFMEA, MPR projects and process optimization.
- Serve as subject matter expert on quality tools, methods, and statistical analysis.
- Apply quality methodology and tools in root cause corrective action.
- Work with drawings, specifications and GD&T.
- Utilize process validation and statistical methods to support improvements.
- University degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
- Proven experience in root cause corrective action and quality methodology.
- Experience working with drawings/specifications and GD&T.
- Experience in process validation and statistical methods.
- Six Sigma or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Experience in 8D, quality tools, 5‑Whys, and SPC analysis.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and forecast goals.
- Strong data presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.
