We are seeking a Welder to join our Maintenance team in Pueblo, Colorado. As a welder, you will provide the necessary support to all areas of the mill in a safe manner.
Job Description and Responsibilities- Read prints, plan work, procedures and techniques
- Obtain and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate all equipment needed to complete the job
- Direct others in conditioning and preparation
- Observe lockout procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and assist Maintenance personnel
- Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required
- Additional tasks as assigned
- Associate Degree in welding or completion of a welding apprenticeship
- Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication and welding; structural experience and certification preferred
- Valid Colorado driver’s license
- Competent in manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes and spaces; able to take precise measurements and calculate necessary dimensions
- Self‑starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time among multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Physical ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, make repetitive motions, hear, etc., and to exert forces up to 50 pounds, and frequently up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push, and pull
- Ability to work in inside, outside, and adverse environmental conditions with elevated noise levels and physical hazards
- Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency through testing
Compensation: $28.78 per hour. Shift differential may apply.
