The Grant Writer will identify and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities.

Pay Grade:

$58,115.20 - $81,369.60

FLSA:

Job Description:

The Grant Writer will identify and develop funding sources to support program activities, and lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private agencies. Responsibilities include preparing proposals, researching grant opportunities, and reporting on funded activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify new funding prospects;
  • Generate high-quality grant proposals and supporting documents;
  • Maintain grant schedules and tracking;
  • Serve as liaison to funding agencies;
  • Coordinate with staff to develop and submit grant materials;
  • Follow-up on submitted proposals;
  • Coordinate with Finance for budget development;
  • Maintain a master file of grants;
  • Stay current on grant-related issues;
  • Meet regularly with program staff on funding needs;
  • Inform staff and administrators about grant progress and issues;
  • Attend on-site as required;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
    Master’s preferred;
  • 3-5 years of successful grant writing experience;
  • Valid driver’s license preferred;
  • Ability to work in a team and independently;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in grant portals and Microsoft Office suite;
  • Experience in grant budgeting and management;
  • Knowledge of federal grant processes and funding cycles.
Working Conditions:

Primarily in a climate-controlled office environment; sedentary work with occasional lifting and bending; frequent computer use.
