We are looking for a Traffic Engineer who is ready to grow into the next phase of their career:
Project Management. In this role, you will be working with the Assistant Director to manage a variety of transportation safety and transportation planning projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of the Access Management Manual, MUTCD, and the Highway Safety Manual, and the Trip Generation Manual
- Good, working knowledge of Excel
- Prefer software experience with Micro Station, ArcGIS, Synchro, and/or VISTRO
- Possess written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
- Valid Driver's License
- Preference is given to candidates who have passed their Professional Engineer (P.E.) Exam
Our Traffic Engineering and Planning team is made up of fifteen skilled professionals dedicated to transportation safety. Recent projects include the Mobile Bay Bridge ITS Project, Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) initiatives across Alabama, numerous Road Safety Audits in Tennessee, and the Tennessee Strategic Highway Safety Plan.
