Continuous Improvement Lead
Drive operational excellence and lead impactful change at a high-volume automotive manufacturer. You will transform operations by driving Lean initiatives, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead productivity initiatives and build a strong culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) across the plant.
- Conduct time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce waste.
- Collect and analyze production data using Lean/Six Sigma tools (Pareto, SPC, DOE) to identify trends and improve performance.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing methods (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
- Support Six Sigma projects to improve quality, reduce defects, and minimize variation.
- Partner with plant leadership and operators to implement standardized work procedures and best practices.
- Lead Kaizen workshops and train employees in CI tools (PDCA, process flow, problem-solving).
- Develop and update SOPs to ensure lasting improvements.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on roadmaps that drive the plant toward world-class (Silver/Gold) manufacturing standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of process improvement or manufacturing engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Proven success applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Green Belt or higher preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean tools 5S, Kaizen, Line Balancing, SMED, OEE, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Hands‑on problem solver who thrives in fast‑paced manufacturing environments.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel 10–15% as needed.
Salary and Benefits
$80,000 – $110,000 per year + annual discretionary bonus.
