American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 1-2+ years of experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit in a 95-bed acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases (3-4 per year)
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Rotates weekends every other weekend, with potential for more frequent weekend scheduling based on need
• On-call responsibilities depending on census
• Float requirements to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER units, including low-level med-surg overflow patients in ICU at a 1:3 ratio
• Uses Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo monitors at bedside, Care View, telemetry, Sara Stedy, and ARJO lift equipment
• Uses Medhost EHR

• Active RN or LPN license valid in TN (Standard or Compact)
• TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• 1-2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Must clear TN Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

• Provide direct nursing care to a diverse patient population within a Med/Surg unit
• Unit supported by a dedicated Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech
• Professional demeanor expected; print scrubs not permitted, other scrub colors accepted
• Must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
