American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and 1-2+ years of Med/Surg experience.

• Work on a 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit in an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotate every other weekend, with possible additional weekend scheduling based on need
• On-call and floating required depending on census, including to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER
• May take low-level Med/Surg overflow patients in ICU at a 1:3 ratio
• Unit equipped with Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo monitors, Care View, telemetry, Sara Stedy, and ARJO lift
• Uses Medhost EHR system
• Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech stationed at the nurses' station

• Active RN or LPN license valid in Tennessee (TN or compact license required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 1-2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
• Professional demeanor required

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit, including floating to other departments as needed
• Dress code allows any scrub color except printed scrubs
• Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered a travel candidate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
