Job DescriptionNew River Community College is a two-year state institution of higher education operating under a statewide system of 23 community colleges. The college is located on a one hundred plus acre site at the intersection of U.S. Routes 11 and 100 in Dublin, Virginia. The campus provides modern, well-equipped facilities for the career technical education programs as well as for the college transfer programs.
Approximately 4,000 students comprise the student body.

Duties:
The Health Professions Clinical Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring clinical education experiences for students enrolled in health professions programs. This position serves as a primary liaison among students, faculty, clinical/preceptor sites, healthcare organizations, and program leadership to ensure that clinical experiences are appropriately scheduled, educationally meaningful, and consistent with program, institutional, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
The Clinical Coordinator supports student readiness for clinical placement by coordinating required documentation, health and safety requirements, onboarding, compliance tracking, orientation, and communication with clinical partners. The coordinator also assists with maintaining strong clinical partnerships and identifying opportunities to enhance the quality and effectiveness of students’ clinical learning experiences. Duties also include assisting faculty, students, and administration as needed and performing tasks as assigned by the dean.
