Job Summary:
Work with regular classroom teachers and Title I teachers to provide supplementary assistance in reading and math to students who are not making sufficient academic progress.
Pay Band:$35.00
Job Classification:Part-Time Work Agreement through the remainder of 26-27 School Year
Reports to:Principal
Education:High School Diploma-Required, Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution-Preferred
Certifications:Collegiate Professional-Preferred
Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to work and plan with multiple classroom teachers on different grade levels.
- Exhibits strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain assessment data to parents.
- Experience and expertise in using technology in education.
- Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Task and time management skills.
- Maintains acceptable attendance record and is punctual.
- Follows provided lesson plans and work with at-risk students to help them master reading, language, and math skills utilizing various research-based teaching strategies.
- Maintain an effective system of monitoring and tracking student progress and reporting to appropriate teachers and administrators.
- Works collaboratively with other staff/tutors.
- Maintains confidentiality of students in accordance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)
- Complies with all PCPS district policies.
