As the Administrative Assistant 3, you will provide administrative support to the Department of Management, Information Systems, & Entrepreneurship. You will make independent decisions regarding management of the department office; organize, coordinate, and implement all administrative services in the department; work with both internal and external constituencies for the department; and work with the chair in monitoring and analyzing the department budget.
Responsibilities- Handling financial processes for the department.
- Composing complex correspondence for the Chair and the department.
- Assisting with the organization and execution of department events.
- Assisting the chair with student processes.
- Assisting with course scheduling.
- Assisting the department chair with doctoral student work plans.
- Serving as a point of contact for the department when working with faculty, staff, students, and external constituents.

$3,925 to $5,271 | Range 44 (Steps A - M). Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications- High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated skills in organization and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computer software, such as Microsoft Office.
- Office management experience with Washington State University or similar higher education environment.
- Experience monitoring and reconciling a budget and/or financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing, and high stress environment.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
