Operations Manager
General Purpose
The Airport Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of airport restaurant and concession services, including food service operations and non‑edible retail items.
Classification SummaryThe Airport Manager ensures high levels of customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting airport standards and brand expectations in a fast‑paced travel environment. The Concessions Manager reports to the Executive Director who evaluates work quality, quantity, and accuracy of tasks performed and services provided.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Hires and trains restaurant and concession staff.
- Coaches and maintains a positive Brand Ambassador program for all concession operations.
- Organizes and oversees staff schedules to support fluctuating travel volumes.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Acts as administrative staff within the airport environment, collaborating with other areas of airport operations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with policy and airport procedures.
- Oversees restaurant operations and retail concession areas, including product display, service, and inventory of non‑edible items.
- Ensures food preparation and sales activities comply with health, safety, hygiene, and airport standards.
- Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of dining and retail experience.
- Handles customer complaints and resolves issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations when applicable.
- Estimates food, beverage, and merchandise costs.
- Manages inventory and places orders for food, beverages, merchandise, and supplies.
- Conducts daily inspections of restaurant and concession areas to ensure compliance with safety, security, and cleanliness standards.
- Evaluates equipment, fixtures, and displays for maintenance needs and schedules service.
- Collaborates with chefs and vendors to support menu planning and merchandise offerings.
- Maintains sales records, cash receipts, and inventory tracking.
- Prepares and submits reports and documentation as requested by regional or airport management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with airport personnel, government officials, tenants, and the general public.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous restaurant or concessions experience required; management experience preferred. Must be able to pass a TSA background check.
Work EnvironmentThe employee must be able to move quickly throughout the restaurant and concessions areas, lift 25 pounds, stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods of time, and work in an office at a desk on a computer.
