As a Teacher, a typical day might include the following:
- Oversee the educational activities within the childcare classroom
- Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field
- Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents
- Work cooperatively in a team atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if:
- You are eighteen years of age or older
- You have a high School Diploma or GED
- You have 1-2 years documented child care work related experience
- You have the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
- You have a background check results satisfactory to SEL and DEL
- You have current Washington State Food Handlers Permit
- You have current HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogen training
- You have negative Mantoux TB test result(s)
- You have current Infant, Child & Adult First Aid/CPR certified
- You meet STARS training requirement in the state of Washington and be listed in the State Training and Registry System
- You have a valid Driver's License
- You have the ability to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL
- You have current Child Abuse and Neglect Training
- You have current Safe Sleep Training
- You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- You have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years documented early childhood development education
- Foreign Language Skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50lbs frequently

Pay Range Data
New hires generally start at $21.00 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Pay range for this position is $16.87 - $24.85 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
