Teacher, Child Development​/Support

As a Teacher, a typical day might include the following:

• Oversee the educational activities within the childcare classroom
• Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field
• Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents
• Work cooperatively in a team atmosphere.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Other duties as assigned.

This job might be for you if:

• You are eighteen years of age or older
• You have a high School Diploma or GED
• You have 1-2 years documented child care work related experience
• You have the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
• You have a background check results satisfactory to SEL and DEL
• You have current Washington State Food Handlers Permit
• You have current HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogen training
• You have negative Mantoux TB test result(s)
• You have current Infant, Child & Adult First Aid/CPR certified
• You meet STARS training requirement in the state of Washington and be listed in the State Training and Registry System
• You have a valid Driver's License
• You have the ability to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL
• You have current Child Abuse and Neglect Training
• You have current Safe Sleep Training
• You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• You have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years documented early childhood development education
• Foreign Language Skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50lbs frequently
• Sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours

Pay Range Data

New hires generally start at $21.00 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Pay range for this position is $16.87 - $24.85 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
