Application Systems Analyst/Developer

Decision Aid Systems (DAS) is an Integrated Pest Management decision support system for tree fruit and potato growers in the Pacific Northwest. As an Application Systems Analyst/Developer, you will be part of our development team, handling both backend and frontend development, fine‑tuning existing features, writing unit and integration tests, and delivering new functionality while providing daily and weekly progress updates.

Position Details

• Full‑time (100% FTE), temporary position, eligible for overtime based on final salary placement.

• Annual renewal expected; renewal dependent on continuous funding and project needs.

• Monthly salary: $4,942.10 – $7,569.55, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience, including at least two years of web and application development on a Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (or Perl/Python) stack.
• Extensive experience with Laravel framework (v7+).
• Extensive experience managing large MySQL databases.
• Experience with unit/integration testing (e.g., PHPUnit).
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as Vue or React.
• Experience using Git and the Gitflow workflow.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or comparable professional experience.
• Experience with AWS and Heroku.
• Experience with data analytics languages like Python or R.

• Experience with medium to large‑scale projects in academic or business settings.
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
