Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Position in Computer Science – Washington State University
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Washington State University (WSU), Pullman, WA, invites applications for one full-time, nine-month, tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Computer Science at all ranks. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2026 (earlier start negotiable).
Focus:
Computer security broadly defined—privacy, trustworthiness, mobile/wireless security, cloud security, software/system security, and related areas. Applicants working in theoretical computer science with security overlap (e.g., cryptography, algorithms in the fields) are encouraged to apply.
This position is expected to complement existing strengths (e.g., design automation, security & cryptography, and AI), and support WSU’s new cybersecurity program. Numerous collaboration opportunities include major initiatives such as the NSF-USDA AgAID AI Institute, DOD VICEROY CySER Institute, and WSU-PNNL Advanced Grid Institute. Additionally, WSU is an NSA Center of Academic Excellence-Research (CAE-R) and hosts an active Cyber Corps Scholarship for Service (SFS) program.
