Calibration Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Calibration Technician to support the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of our manufacturing and inspection equipment. This role performs routine and complex calibration, maintenance, and documentation of tools, instruments, and measurement systems to ensure all Aqualab instruments meet required standards and support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration and functional checks on Aqualab instruments.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records in accordance with internal procedures and compliance standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve calibration discrepancies or equipment performance issues.
  • Prepare and update calibration logs, certificates, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all calibration tools and reference standards are properly maintained, stored, and in good working condition.
  • Support internal audits, equipment reviews, and compliance assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address equipment-related concerns.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects related to equipment accuracy, workflow efficiency, and documentation processes.
  • Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related technical field.
  • High school diploma or technical/vocational certification in electronics, instrumentation, metrology, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of measurement principles, calibration methods, and testing procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, calibration manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet scheduled calibration deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve equipment deviations.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to Pullman, WA, and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, FDA, or similar).
  • Familiarity with calibration software or electronic record-keeping systems.
  • Knowledge of advanced measurement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to support root-cause analysis or corrective action activities.
  • Associate’s degree in electronics, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
