Job SummaryThe Quality Manager serves as both a technical expert and strategic leader for the Pullman site's quality operations. This role combines active work in the Quality Control (QC) laboratory with oversight of Quality Assurance (QA), QC, and Regulatory activities. The Quality Manager ensures all products and processes meet rigorous standards for quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in alignment with company and regulatory expectations.
QualityControl (QC)
- Efficiently and accurately perform product testing (such as ELISA, AGID, IFA, & LFD), including proper documentation
- Create and maintain QC documents such as COAs, SOPs, worksheets
- Contribute to the understanding and interpretation of results at critical production control points
- Develop and implement, in collaboration with key stakeholders, quality control specifications, testing methods, and sampling plans for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods
- Provide technical, statistical, and quality control expertise to personnel within the company
- Coordinate and prioritize with other departments to ensure timely completion of work outputs
- Oversee QA activities; provide necessary support to ensure all activities are completed accurately and on-time
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies.
Partners cross-functionally to drive product quality, risk management, and audit readinessChampion change to push process improvements across the organization.
Managerial- Interview, hire, and train new staff; assign work or projects; provide constructive and ongoing feedback and coaching for development; manage staff in accordance with department needs, company policies, practices, and initiatives

- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience with manufacturing and/or quality roles in a regulated industry
- Experience reading and interpreting IFA results.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; GLP; and QMS software tools
- Bachelor's degree required, in the sciences preferred
- Quality certifications from ASQ or equivalent preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
The pay range for this position is $92k - $110k annually. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and regional benchmarks. The wage listed is just one component of VMRD's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses.
