** As the
** Scientific Assistant**, you will perform laboratory research, including designing research approaches and identifying and defining research problems related to agronomics and end-use quality of wheat. You will collect, analyze, and interpret research data, ensure quality control, and make improvements to techniques and interpretations. You will assist in preparing journal publications and progress reports, manage and maintain daily laboratory operations, conduct general laboratory maintenance and routine care of scientific instrumentation, order supplies, keep inventory records, and maintain a safe working environment.

*** A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Master’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline may be substituted for up to one year of the required work experience.
