You perform skilled journey-level work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration, air-conditioning, and chilled water equipment, systems, and controls.

This is a full-time (100%), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

• Monthly Salary: $5,376 to $6,229
• Range 50G (Steps G-M)
• Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• In accordance with RCW
  49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
• Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

• Journeyman standing as a Refrigeration Mechanic as attested by:
  Completion of recognized apprenticeship OR full journeyman status in Plumbers AND Pipe fitters’ Union OR five years of experience in State service as full time helper to a journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic.
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM
  7.10 and departmental driving standards.
• Refrigeration Trade School Diploma.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification.

• Four years journey-level experience in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Experience using all types of power tools & equipment utilized in troubleshooting & maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems.
