Duties and responsibilities- Must be knowledgeable in DOT regulations and requirements.
- Must be knowledgeable in the operation of Kenworth or Peterbilt 4 axle tractors or similar vehicles.
- Must be able to perform inspection of tractor, trailer, tires and vital fluids before the start of shift and after.
- Must be able to perform inspection of containers to ensure waste is secured properly.
- Must be able to clean interior of cab, windshield, mirrors, lights, taillights and reflectors pre/post shift.
- Drivers are responsible for washing, greasing and light maintenance of tractors and chassis/trailers.
- Must be able to deliver containers safely.
- Must be able to communicate with other operators and drivers via CB radio.
- Must be able to maintain driver logs according to state and federal regulations.
- Must have current CDL.
- Must have current medical card.
- Must have proper endorsements as necessary.
