Audit Senior – Industry and Services

About the Role:

As an Audit Senior – Industry & Services, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality audits for clients across diverse industries, including manufacturing, retail, technology, services, and other mid‑market organisations.

In this role, you will lead significant audit sections, work closely with UK engagement managers, and contribute to building a strong culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will be a central part of our extended audit team, ensuring exceptional client experience and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As an Audit Senior, you will:

- Produce high‑quality audit work aligned with firm methodology, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support UK engagement managers by supervising, coaching, and guiding offshore members of the extended audit team.
- Participate in engagement planning, execution, and closure meetings, contributing valuable insights to enhance audit quality.
- Manage and complete assigned audit areas within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Track progress, manage deadlines, and communicate regular status updates to engagement leaders.
- Maintain audit documentation quality, ensuring timely clearance of review notes.
- Act as a key point of contact for engagement managers and clients, ensuring transparency and strong communication.
- Draft key audit completion documents including audit opinions, letters of representation, and group reporting packages.
- Provide meaningful feedback to junior team members to support their performance and development.
- Build strong working relationships with both onshore and offshore teams, ensuring smooth coordination and issue resolution.

What We Are Looking For

- Qualified ACA / ICAI / CA / ACCA (or equivalent).
- Experience leading external audits from planning through to completion, preferably within the Industry & Services sector.
- Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP / FRS 102 / IFRS.
- Experience supervising and coaching audit trainees.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Curious, analytical, and professionally sceptical mindset.
- Ability to identify issues, apply sector‑based knowledge, and recommend solutions.
- Self‑driven, responsible, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to delegate effectively while maintaining quality control.
