Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Article Trainee role based in the Pune Division. The Article Trainee will support audit and assurance engagements, assist in tax computation and filings, and help prepare working papers and documentation in line with regulatory and firm standards. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate accounting records, performing reconciliations, supporting statutory compliance activities, and assisting in business incorporation and related advisory work.
The role also involves conducting research on tax and regulatory matters, drafting reports and summaries for senior team members, and coordinating with clients to gather necessary information. Article Trainees will work closely with qualified professionals, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to multiple sectors.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
Interest and aptitude in direct and indirect taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory research.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn accounting and audit software.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment, manage time, and meet deadlines.
Currently pursuing or completed initial levels of Chartered Accountancy or an equivalent professional course (as per institute requirements for articleship).
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving attitude, and willingness to learn across diverse assignments and industries.
High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct in client-facing and internal work.
