Role Description The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the organization's day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and effective financial controls. The role requires overseeing the complete accounting cycle, maintaining financial records, preparing management reports, and coordinating with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities. The Senior Accountant will also support management with budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in bookkeeping, finalization of accounts, GST and TDS compliance, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, and MIS reporting. The candidate should be proficient in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel, possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, and be capable of working independently while supervising junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations.
Candidates should possess proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support project and organizational performance.
Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, GST, and other relevant regulatory and compliance requirements applicable in India.
Candidates should possess experience using accounting and ERP software, along with strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including non-finance stakeholders.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
Prior experience in a similar senior accounting role, preferably within advertising, events, or a project-based industry, is highly beneficial.
