School-hours/after-school hours and partial weekend availability required
Time commitment : ~20 hours / wk , with potential to grow to full time, and potential to go broader to other subjects beyond Arduino, like mechatronics and electronics
Salary :
Rs. 4L-4.5L per annum for the time commitment mentioned above.
About FACEng The Foundation for Advancement of Capabilities in Engineering (FACEng) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving India's engineering talent pool believe that most graduate engineers require on-the-job training to reach even basic productivity, and we are on a mission to change this paradigm.
Our work is structured around creating "Better Students" and "Better Engineers." This particular facilitation role at a general level, focuses specifically on our Better Students Program , which targets school grades 8 to 12. We aim to nurture inspired and independent learners driven by curiosity and a growth mindset. Through our hands-on programs, we aim to provide inspiration for engineering and exposure to various engineering disciplines, while fostering an engineering mindset, with a focus on "learning by doing", “tinkering”and “creating”.

The Role We are looking for an energetic Program Facilitator to lead our hands-on Arduino programs for high school students. This is not a traditional teaching role; it is an opportunity to be a mentor and a guide who can demystify complex engineering concepts and make them accessible, exciting, and relevant to young minds.
You will be responsible for delivering our curriculum in a way that sparks curiosity. You will have the creative freedom to experiment with teaching methodologies to see what best connects with students, opportunities to create intentional, thoughtful plans for helping students learn, rather than just delivering information, and in doing so nurture an environment where curiosity and learning thrives!
Key Responsibilities Facilitation:
Lead interactive hands-on sessions on Arduino, electronics and coding fundamentals for high school students at our lab and partner schools in Pune.
Student Engagement:
Break down high-level engineering concepts into digestible, age-appropriate content. Foster a safe environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and experiment.
Pedagogical Experimentation:
Work with the curriculum design and content creation teams to test new teaching methods and hands-on projects, assessing their impact on student learning.
Feedback Loop:
Actively assess student progress and provide feedback to the FACEng program design team to continuously improve our offerings.
Travel & Logistics:
Travel to various partner schools within Pune to conduct sessions.
Train the trainers:
We are also looking at you to demonstrate leadership and train other facilitators for similar programs, so we may scale up the initiative.
Who We Are Looking For Engineer at heart:
Engineering or science degree / diploma of electrical, electronics, computers or allied fields preferred. You must possess an engineering mindset and a passion for STEM applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Arduino/Raspberry Pi or similar platforms, reasonable expertise in electronics and coding skills.

You love teaching and have a genuine interest in shaping the next generation of problem-solvers.
Effective Communicator:
You have excellent communication skills and can connect with teenagers. You are comfortable conducting sessions in English or Marathi .

You are eager to learn new technologies and teaching strategies. You are energetic and open to feedback.
Flexible:
You are willing to work during after-school hours and weekends as program schedules dictate.
