About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head the Content & Curriculum vertical, driving high-quality program design and content development for large-scale implementation across geographies. The role will focus on aligning program design, curriculum, and organizational goals while strengthening systems, teams, and stakeholder partnerships to improve learning outcomes in public education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Design & Strategy (20%)
Lead strategic planning and vision for program design across foundational and future learning areas
Use global frameworks, assessment data, and internal insights to refine program design
Drive innovation through pilots and testing models for scale
Ensure alignment between program design, content strategy, and implementation goals
Stay updated with best practices in pedagogy, foundational learning, and Ed Tech
2. Content & Curriculum Design (30%)
Lead the Content & Curriculum vertical to deliver high-quality, scalable outputs
Establish systems, processes, and quality benchmarks for curriculum development
Oversee design of training materials, teacher resources, and assessments
Ensure content is research-backed, contextualized, and effective across geographies
Integrate feedback loops and data for continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless program implementation
Conduct field visits to assess implementation quality
3. Team Management (30%)
Lead and manage a multi-layered team (Associate Directors, Managers, Associates)
Build strong team structures focused on collaboration and accountability
Mentor and develop team members for leadership growth
Drive hiring and talent development within the vertical
4. Stakeholder Management (10%)
Engage with senior government stakeholders (SCERT, DIETs, state leadership)
Manage relationships with donors and partners
Build strategic partnerships for research, content, and program design
Support fundraising and partnership development efforts
5. Monitoring & Evaluation (10%)
Establish systems to track content quality and program effectiveness
Work closely with M&E teams to drive data-informed decisions
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Requirements
Education & Experience
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or related field (PhD/MPhil preferred)
16–18 years of experience in large-scale education programs
Strong experience in curriculum development and teacher training
Experience working with government education systems (state/district level)
Proven track record in program and instructional design
Experience managing teams across multiple geographies
Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in curriculum design, pedagogy, and teacher development
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Ability to work in a semi-structured, fast-paced environment
Deep understanding of public education systems and policy landscape
Proficiency in digital tools for content development and delivery
Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
High adaptability, problem-solving ability, and resilience
