Role Overview
The Academic Incharge will be responsible for supporting academic planning, coordination, and execution of academic activities. The role involves ensuring smooth delivery of curriculum, managing academic processes, contributing to accreditation work, and handling teaching and evaluation responsibilities in finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Coordination & Execution
Assist in implementation of academic calendars and session plans
Ensure timely and effective delivery of lectures as per schedule
Track syllabus coverage and report gaps to the HOD
Support smooth conduct of examinations and academic activities
2. Faculty Coordination
Coordinate with faculty members for session planning and delivery
Monitor attendance, session completion, and academic discipline
Assist HOD in resolving day-to-day academic issues
Ensure proper communication between faculty and academic teams
3. Accreditation & Documentation
Support accreditation activities (NBA, NIRF, AICTE, etc.)
Maintain academic records, documentation, and reports
Assist in audit preparation and compliance requirements
4. Research & Academic Contribution
Contribute to research publications and academic development
Support departmental research initiatives
Stay updated with developments in the field of finance
5. Teaching & Evaluation Responsibilities
Teach finance-related subjects as assigned
Prepare and deliver lectures with practical insights
Teach finance-related subjects as per institute requirements
Conduct lectures with strong conceptual and practical orientation
Set question papers for internal assessments, mid-term, and end-term examinations
Design and evaluate class assessments including assignments and case studies
Evaluate answer sheets for mid-term and end-term examinations in a timely manner
Ensure fair, accurate, and timely assessment of student performance
Participate in and oversee invigilation duties during examinations to ensure adherence to academic integrity and institutional protocols
Monitor and ensure proper conduct of examinations, including discipline, compliance, and reporting of any irregularities
6. Student Academic Support
Monitor student performance and engagement
Assist students with academic queries and guidance
Support initiatives to improve student learning outcomes
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong academic coordination and execution skills
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Subject expertise in Finance
Basic understanding of accreditation and compliance processes
Ability to manage multiple academic tasks efficiently
Preferred Background
Experience in B-Schools or PGDM institutes preferred
Exposure to academic administration and coordination
