Role Description The GST Executive will manage day-to-day GST compliance activities, including preparation and filing of GST returns, reconciliation of tax data, and maintenance of accurate records and documentation. Responsibilities include reviewing transactions for correct tax treatment, assisting in GST audits and assessments, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely response to tax-related queries. The role also involves monitoring changes in GST laws and regulations, supporting implementation of process improvements, and assisting in preparation of reports and MIS related to indirect taxation.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, requiring close collaboration with the firm’s tax team and clients.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, and regulations, including GST return filing, reconciliation, and compliance procedures.
Experience in indirect taxation domains such as Customs, Service Tax, Central Excise, and FTP will be an advantage.
Proficiency in accounting principles, tax computation, and use of tax and accounting software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, GST portals).
Good analytical skills with attention to detail for reviewing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and preparing accurate reports.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, clients, and tax authorities.
Ability to work systematically, manage deadlines, and handle multiple compliance tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Professional qualification such as
B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent in finance, accounting, or taxation preferred.
Prior experience in a CA firm or in an indirect tax role will be considered beneficial.
