About this role
This role will play a key role in building Stratasys’s next-generation BI and reporting data pipeline on AWS, working in a fast-paced Scrum environment that involves collaboration with teams in various locations. The daily work will be as part of a scrum team working in a continuous integration environment.
What We Are Looking For (Responsibility #1 – Technical Design and Build)
- Design and implement data pipelines to support various cases, including reporting, analytics, operative apps, etc.
- Ensure robust, scalable and secured solution in an AWS environment.
- Evaluate and make recommendations such as the acquisition and/or adoption of new tools, technologies and best practices for data engineering.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems by gathering and assessing relevant information, use abstract ideas to interpret information effectively, develop well-reasoned conclusions and solutions.
- Collaborate and interact with internal and external stakeholders to properly shape the solution.
- Ensure data reports meet data accuracy, query performance, usability and functionality requirements.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintains a clean and organized lab environment
- Attends all required company training
- Demonstrate commitment to Stratasys Purpose, Mission and Values by leading, acting, and modeling.
- Other Responsibilities as assigned by the department director or manager
What We Need (Basic Qualifications）
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree
- Experienced with large analytics environment, writing ETL flows, Reporting tools and data modeling.
- Experience translating business strategy into value creation through analytics.
- Strong programming techniques and scripting languages such as python, SQL.
- Knowledge of system availability, scalability, and security.
- Experience with Big Data solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS data services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-site
