Job Summary

We are hiring a results-driven IBM Maximo Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Maximo installation, Web Sphere administration, framework customization, system integrations, and database migration projects.

This role requires hands-on experience in environment setup, database replatforming (SQL Server/Oracle to Db2), performance tuning, ETL processes, and enterprise-level upgrades, including Maximo 7.6 to MAS transitions.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and deep technical expertise across application, middleware, and database layers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead installation, configuration, and administration of Maximo environments (Dev/Test/Prod)
- Perform Maximo upgrades and replatforming activities (7.6 → MAS, database migrations)
- Deploy and manage EAR files on IBM Web Sphere Application Server
- Configure Maximo security, workflows, escalations, cron tasks, and system properties
- Execute database migration, schema validation, and data reconciliation processes
- Perform SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Design and implement integrations using MIF, REST/SOAP APIs, JMS/MQ
- Develop automation scripts (Python/Jython) and Java-based customizations
- Manage backup, restore, refresh, cloning, and disaster recovery planning
- Support bulk data migration, ETL workflows, and large dataset processing
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across application and database layers
- Collaborate with Dev Ops, infrastructure, and business teams for deployment planning

Required Technical Skills

Maximo & Middleware

- Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite / Maximo 7.6
- Strong knowledge of Maximo Framework (MBOs, Business Objects, Services, Metadata, Integration Framework)

- Experience with Web Sphere installation, clustering, JVM tuning, SSL configuration
- Application deployment and environment management expertise

Database & Data Engineering (Core Requirement)

- Strong experience in:
- IBM Db2
- Oracle Database
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, indexing, stored procedures, execution plans)
- Experience in database migration and replatforming projects
- Data transformation, cleansing, mapping, and validation expertise
- Knowledge of ETL concepts and batch processing frameworks
- Performance tuning and capacity planning
- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery implementation experience

Integrations

- Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
- REST/SOAP Web Services
- JMS/MQ messaging systems
- ERP and third-party system integration
- Flat file and interface table processing

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with MAS 8.x containerized deployments
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or Open Shift
- Linux/Unix administration knowledge
- CI/CD and Dev Ops exposure
- Cloud migration experience (AWS/Azure)
- IBM Maximo 7.6.1.3 certification or MAS 9 certification
